Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Factory Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our consumer electronics SKD (Semi-Knock Down) assembly plant. This role is responsible for overseeing the full factory function—including production, quality, warehouse, manpower, safety, and maintenance—to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely output that meets company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full spectrum of factory operations, including production planning, assembly, testing, packing, warehousing, and dispatch.
- Ensure on-time, high-quality output according to the production schedule and customer requirements.
- Lead, train, and supervise production supervisors, assembly teams, QC staff, and warehouse personnel.
- Monitor productivity, downtime, scrap, rework, and other performance metrics—take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and parts are available and properly issued for daily production; coordinate with procurement and planning teams.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for SKD assembly, testing, packing, and safety.
- Drive 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, labor laws, and internal HR policies.
- Manage factory maintenance and equipment servicing schedules.
- Report factory KPIs, risks, and improvement plans to senior management regularly.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a consumer electronics or similar light assembly factory, ideally SKD or final assembly only (no SMT).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Practical experience in SOP creation, line balancing, labor control, and basic lean tools.
- Familiar with BOM, work orders, and production tracking systems (ERP or manual).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-model production environment.
