Project Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

· Assist Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) in day-to-day management of the contract

· Advise the PRPM/SPM/PM on-site quality and safety issues

· Determine any non-conformances on works

· Liaise with the Contractor to rectify any non-conformances and document them properly

· Ensure that decisions on-site issues are conveyed to the Contractor within a reasonable timeframe

· Ensure that works are carried out according to specifications, drawings and programmes without compromising on quality and safety

· Provide feedback to the PRPM/SPM/PM on quality and safety matters and suggest quality improvement measures for implementation on-site

· Supervise the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation

· Lead a team of supervisors to ensure full-time supervision of works on-site

· Supervise the installation of instrumentation and monitoring of instrumentation

· Assist in the operation of the PMCC

Requirements:

· Min Degree in Civil & Structural engineering

· Min 2 years of viaduct and/or flyover or cut and cover tunnel experience in a project/construction environment

· Proficient in relevant software programmes for planning and project work

· Pro-active team player with good analytical and communication skills

· Experience in civil/structural/geotechnical design will be an advantage.
