PROJECT ENGINEER

A Project Engineer

serves as the technical lead for engineering projects, coordinating planning, design, and execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification

. They bridge the gap between design teams, contractors, and management, performing tasks such as scheduling, site monitoring, risk management, and preparing RFIs (Requests for Information).

Key Responsibilities & Roles

• Technical Oversight: Interprets engineering drawings, manages design changes, and ensures quality control.
• Planning & Coordination: Develops schedules, forecasts resource needs, and manages subcontractors and suppliers.
• Site Management: Monitors daily site operations, ensures safety/environmental compliance, and solves field problems.
• Documentation: Manages project documentation, including submittals, reports, and payment applications. 

Skills and Requirements

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering is usually required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools (MS Project).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating between diverse stakeholders.
