Role Overview:
We are seeking a Project Engineer responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing project execution to ensure timely and successful delivery. This role involves reviewing system designs, supervising installations, and managing communication with stakeholders. Strong technical expertise, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for ensuring project quality and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely execution and alignment with project goals.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth operations and address project requirements.
- Attend site meetings as required, professionally representing the company and providing technical insights.
- Ensure timely submission of personal timesheets, expense reports, project tracker updates, and other required documentation on a weekly basis.
- Review system designs before installation, identifying and addressing technical, functional, or compatibility issues while ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Supervise and manage installation teams, including internal technicians and local service partners, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager, supporting efficient resource planning and project execution.
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- 3 year’s industry experience working in ELV Systems (security and communication) installations, servicing, or design.
- Proven organizational and security system trouble shooting skills.
- Practical aptitude and ability to work independently, prioritize work schedule and make own decisions.
- Logical worker, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ability to prioritize well.
- High quality of work and a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Commercial awareness.
- IT literacy, preferably in MS Office. Knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable knowledge of IP technology and basic understanding of networking (e.g. Cisco, TCP/IP, routing, switching )
- Proficiency in communicating with Chinese stakeholders will be advantageous, as the client is primarily Chinese.
