Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QEHS Manager to lead and maintain the Company’s Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) management systems to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industry standards, and company policies across office, warehouse, and project sites. This role supports safe work practices, quality project delivery, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in line with the Company’s operational excellence objectives.
Job Description
1. Quality Management
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) procedures aligned with ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001), where applicable.
Support project teams in ensuring quality workmanship, documentation control, and compliance with project specifications.
Conduct internal audits, site inspections, and quality checks on ongoing projects.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
In charge of external audits, client audits, and certifications.
2. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and relevant environmental requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for project and site activities.
Carry out site safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and prepare reports with corrective actions.
Monitor and manage contractors’ and subcontractors’ safety compliance.
3. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
Liaise with authorities (e.g. MOM, clients) on QEHS-related matters.
Maintain records for incident reporting, WICA cases, medical leave, and insurance claims.
Support company audits, licenses, permits, and statutory submissions.
Ensure all QEHS documentation is properly maintained and updated.
4. Document Control
Establish and maintain a centralized QEHS documentation system covering policies, SOPs, inspection checklists and audit reports.
Ensure proper document version control, approval workflows, and access rights are in place, and archive obsolete documents in accordance with document retention requirements.
5. Training & Awareness
Organise and coordinate QEHS training, safety induction, and refresher courses for staff and workers.
Promote safety culture and quality awareness across departments.
Support onboarding safety orientation for new hires, workers, and subcontractors.
6. Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Analyse QEHS performance data and prepare monthly QEHS reports for management.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend preventive measures.
Support management initiatives related to digitalisation, automation, and AI-enabled reporting, where applicable.
Participate in cross-functional projects to improve operational excellence.
Job Requirements
Registered Workplace Safety Officer with MOM.
Must have at least a valid BCSS / Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate or CSCPM or equivalent safety certificate.
Certified in QEHS Internal Auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is significantly advantageous.
Minimum 10 years relevant hands-on experience in Engineering/ Construction industry, preferably with Main-Con or M&E or other engineering services company, and minimum 2-3 years in a managerial capacity.
Excellent knowledge of statutory requirements related to WSH Act, OHSAS and other aspect of safety.
Possess excellent communication and collaboration capabilities with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.
