Job Summary
You will lead quantity surveying activities to deliver accurate cost estimations and contract administration for projects. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and ensure timely, compliant tender submissions that support project financial control and successful delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs by sourcing suppliers and subcontractors, compiling price comparisons, and summarizing costs to inform project budgeting and tendering.
- Analyze tender and contract documents to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy for project compliance.
- Deliver precise quantity measurements within established timelines to support project planning and procurement.
- Prepare, issue, and evaluate quotations for tender costing; negotiate and award subcontracts to optimize project costs and schedules.
- Manage the completeness and punctual submission of tender bids to meet project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain cost budgets by tracking design and construction changes, adjusting projections to reflect project scope accurately.
- Review and prepare contractual agreements for awarding subcontracts and supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Certify and evaluate progress of work completed, administering contract variations for both subcontract and main contract scopes.
- Assess and submit monthly progress claims, recommending subcontractor payments to maintain cash flow and project continuity.
- Finalize subcontract and main contract accounts to ensure accurate financial closure.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and team objectives.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, Photoshop, and MS Office applications to produce accurate project documentation and analyses.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments to meet project deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the (M&E) Industry -> Plumbing & Sanitary / Fire Protection / ACMV Industry.
