Sales Manager (Wholesale)

Job Summary

Report directly to the General Manager and drive business growth by developing new customer relationships and maintaining long-term partnerships. Lead customer engagement, manage payment collections, analyze sales data, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal stock availability and market responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and effectively to customer enquiries to secure new and potential business opportunities
• Build and sustain long-term relationships with existing and new customers to enhance customer loyalty and retention
• Manage and oversee customer payment collection processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions
• Monitor market trends and provide actionable feedback to improve sales strategies and outcomes
• Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Team to maintain adequate stock levels that meet customer demand
• Generate and analyze sales data to produce insightful reports for the General Manager, supporting informed decision-making

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum ‘O’ Level/Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience in sales or related fields
• Experience in Wholesale or Ship Chandler channels, enhancing industry-specific knowledge and customer engagement
• Proficiency in Mandarin and dialects to effectively communicate with diverse customer groups
• Strong computer and IT literacy to manage sales data and reporting tools efficiently
• Possession of a Class 3 driving license and access to own car, facilitating customer visits and operational mobility
• Demonstrated independence, resourcefulness, and dynamism, with the ability to thrive as a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated and hardworking attitude to drive business objectives and personal performance
