Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to develop control systems for process equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in PLC programming and C/C++/C#, with Python experience considered an advantage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing automation and machine control systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to system control and automation.
- Applying broad knowledge of sensors, actuators, and gas valves to support system integration.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate hardware and software, enabling user-friendly equipment control.
- Providing on-site service, training, and troubleshooting support as needed.
- Assisting with product demonstrations and supporting sales initiatives when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in motion control, automation applications, and system integration.
- Solid understanding of industrial and safety standards.
- Proficiency in SECS/GEM protocols is essential.
- Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is required; FEOL (Front-End-of-Line) experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and ambiguity.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across diverse teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated initiative, with a self-driven approach to problem-solving and project ownership.
- Proven relationship management and organizational navigation skills, with the ability to influence decisions effectively.
