STAFF NURSE

JOB SUMMARY

Staff nurse plays a central role in providing nursing care to residents in nursing home. He/She will support the Nurse Managers & Director (Nursing) in daily operations of the Ward, be responsible for providing nursing care and management to residents.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervising and monitoring the care, welfare and well-being of residents
• Handling the daily nursing operations of the ward and implementing nursing requirements and regulations
• Providing feedback and suggestions on the needs of the residents and for service improvement
• Planning and implementing new services, programmes and activities
• Recording, safe-keeping and administration of medication and subcutaneous injections
• Assisting doctors during ward rounds and following-up on recommended changes

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
• Possess a valid Practicing Certificate from Singapore Nursing Board
• Candidates with clinical experience in paediatrics ward are welcomed to apply
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to motivate, lead and supervise junior staff
• Proactive and supportive in carrying out new initiatives
