STRUCTURAL METAL PREPARER & ERECTOR

Lifting, positioning, and aligning steel components (beams, trusses, columns)
Securing steel units via welding (arc, plasma) or bolting
Ensuring the framework is level, plumb, and accurately positioned before final fastening.
Unloading, organizing, and preparing materials on-site, including cutting or shaping steel as required.
Coordinating with supervisors and other trades to ensure smooth, safe assembly.
Ability to read and interpret structural blueprints, fabrication drawings, and erection plans.
Formal apprenticeship or relevant work experience in construction is typically preferred; safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, working at heights) are essential.
Experience with tools like wrenches, welding torches, and measuring instruments.
