Supervisor

Responsibilities

Install wood structures such as roof framing, rafters, partitions, joists and studs

Install cabinets, shelving, custom furniture, drywall and insulation

Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and latches

Select the appropriate lumber size and strength for each job and source lumber based on the client's budget and style

Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job

Read blueprints and plans and follow specifications and building code recommendations from other building professionals, architects.

Complete other ad hoc work.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of furniture/finish carpentry experience

Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns

Joinery and cabinet making skills

Knowledge of building codes and regulations to follow

Overtime or weekend work is required.

Class 3 driving license is required
