Team Leader, Workshop

• To manage and guide a team of technicians and senior technicians to perform vehicle service & repair with excellent quality, minimize turnaround time and increase productivity to meet customer’s requirements.
• Ensure high standard of workmanship in order to avoid comeback job.
• Have experience in trouble shooting technical problem by using electronic diagnostic tools
• Perform service and repairs of vehicles if necessary
• To be able to advice on the repair status of each vehicles to Supervisor.
• Assists to carry out quality check on completed vehicles,
• Performs trouble shoot and fault diagnostic on vehicles raised by the team.
• To test drive vehicles after repair when necessary
• To supervise and optimize the use of spares parts by the team.
• To ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the safety and housekeeping requirements set by the company.
• To assist Customer Service Advisors in providing the quotation for the repair works.
• To prepare reports and make recommendation to management on daily operations
• To lead and provide support to the team
• To distribute work loads among the team members
• To train new hires
• Performs ad hoc duties as assigned by Superiors

Requirements

• Relevant academic qualification (Heavy Vehicle Automotive)
• Min 5 years experiences in automotive repair and service industry
• Able to read and write English
• Able to use electronic diagnostic tools competently
• Able to understand electrical drawings and electrical and electronic theory
• Experience in leading a team of technicians, distribution and control of daily works
• Possess strong leadership and diagnostic skills
• Minimum Class 3 Driving License, Class 4 advantageous
