Children Create Canvas Masterpieces at Play & Unite @ Canberra Plaza
Children spent the weekend painting at Play & Unite @ Canberra Plaza, the mall's canvas painting event for young artists. Kids brought their imagination to life on canvas, producing colourful works that ranged from animal portraits to abstract designs. Every canvas reflected the creativity of its young painter.
Panda and Bamboo Canvas
One young painter created a white panda with black ears, eye patches and nose, set against a bright yellow background with green bamboo leaves across the top. The thickly applied paint gave the animal portrait a bold, textured finish.
Zebra Painting with Numbered Card
Another canvas showed a zebra with black stripes on white against an orange background, finished with a yellow heart-shaped paint splatter and two beige ears. The artwork carried a small laminated card featuring a cartoon zebra face and the Chinese label Animal #6 Zebra in its top right corner.
Abstract Fox Artwork
Abstract creations joined the animal portraits, including a fox-like figure painted with bold brushstrokes in green, yellow, white and black. A giraffe head rendered in thick yellow, brown, white and black strokes on a pale blue background also stood out among the weekend's works.
Keepsake Canvases
Smaller works rounded out the afternoon, among them a compact canvas covered in abstract black-and-white brushstrokes on an orange background. Canberra Plaza thanked everyone who joined the event and made the weekend a memorable one for the little artists.
