It's basically an alternative to Nine Fresh/Jiu Xian, but it's a little more expensive (approximately $1.20 more). It's not a bad option if you're in the area. I had D3/Golden Beauty and corn with spicy minced chicken.
The Golden Beauty is a mix of beancurd and grass jelly with (lychee?) pearls that burst, osmanthus jelly, and the chewy, donut-shaped things. It's very similar in taste to Jiu Xian, but the toppings are better, especially the osmanthus jelly, which definitely costs more, even if it's factory-made.
The corn was bigger than the usual pasar malam kind and was juicy and sweet on its own. The spicy chicken was average and didn't add much to the corn, except to make it savory. I was thinking it could be eaten as a salad alternative due to its size. Though I'll get it with condensed milk or butter next time.
Overall, I'll go back if I'm in the area, but the price is a little steep.
It’s a takeaway joint selling dessert. These donut balls, made of yam and sweet potatoes, have a nice, soft, and chewy texture. They are a bit pricey, but worth trying.
"My first time buying their desserts was really disappointing! They were pricey and not up to standard. The Aiyu dessert was not served cold; I still needed to add ice to make it cold, and it wasn't tasty at all. I was also quite shocked when I saw the young lady preparing the dessert. She was doing it slowly, and, worst of all, she was doing it incorrectly and had to redo it! I stood there waiting, thinking she wasn't aware of what she was doing. Unfortunately, I don't think I will patronize this dessert shop again!"
I have no idea why this has so many bad reviews. :( I'm leaving a review here to say that I love their corn so much! I don't know what they put in it, but it's so good! I'm looking forward to trying their mint jelly, but their golden beauty is also pretty good. I also love the lychee pop.
I would like to give my feedback regarding Canberra Plaza. I think the staff there may only work part-time, as I see them most often on Saturdays or Sundays. Two service crew members have very long fringes and do nothing with them, letting them hang down and cover their faces. This is very unhygienic. I hope DO QOO can take some action regarding this matter.
Thanks.
The staff was very rude and unfriendly. They mumbled, making it difficult to understand them. When I asked them to repeat themselves, they were unhelpful. The picture-taking skills were awful; the pictures were ugly and dark. They insisted it would take 30 minutes to collect them, and the pictures didn't even need that much time to edit (because they were ugly). I will not be coming back again.
The staff was nice when taking the photo, but when they showed it to me, it was on the small camera screen. I couldn't see the details of my eyes. When I called to ask if I could retake the photo, the staff said they couldn't retake it unless the photo was rejected by the government and they received a letter as proof. It was a very poor experience. I will not recommend them to anyone.
