Here are a few options, keeping the changes minimal:
**Option 1 (Slightly more formal):**
"Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice, but the portion is like a tester. It's a terrible portion for the amount paid! They need to review their portion sizes."
**Option 2 (Closer to original phrasing):**
"Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice, but the portion is like a tester. Terrible portion for the amount paid! They need to review this."
**Option 3 (Concise):**
"Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice, but the portion is like a tester. The portion is terrible for the amount paid! This needs to be reviewed."
---
*Self-correction/Reasoning for my preferred choice (Option 2 or 3):*
* **"Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice but portion like giving out tester."**
* Add "the" before "portion" for grammar.
* Add "is" before "like" for grammar.
* Change "giving out tester" to "a tester" or "a sample" for conciseness and flow. "a tester" keeps the original word.
* Add a comma before "but" as it connects two independent clauses.
* Result: "Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice, but the portion is like a tester."
* **"Terrible portion for the amount paid!"**
* This sentence is already quite strong and grammatically sound for a review. I'd keep it as is to preserve the original punch.
* **"Need to review this."**
* This is a bit ambiguous. Who needs to review what? It implies the restaurant needs to review their portioning.
* Option A (clarify subject): "They need to review this." (referring to the restaurant).
* Option B (clarify object): "They need to review their portioning/portion sizes." (more specific).
* Option C (passive, keeps original brevity): "This needs to be reviewed." (implies the issue should be addressed by the relevant party).
I'll go with **Option 2** as it's the most direct and retains the original's slightly informal tone while fixing the grammar.
**Edited review:**
"Siti Fatimah Nasi Padang is nice, but the portion is like a tester. Terrible portion for the amount paid! They need to review this."
"Avoid this place at all costs! The new Western stall charges for a takeaway container but only gives a bag. Terrible place, terrible food, and terrible service. I think they are only surviving because they are halal. But seriously, at this rate, nobody will come to your establishment."
**Hostile staff**
I asked the counter staff if PayNow was accepted. She kept mumbling to herself, and I had to ask three times before she gave a haughty answer that PayNow was accepted.
Even her counterpart, the one prepping the food, had an argument with her because they asked a question, and the counter staff didn't answer clearly.
Although I ordered 2 breakfast sets, the counter staff ended up giving me only one pair of eggs. I didn't bother asking for the second pair because I felt it wasn't worth antagonising the staff.
Eventually, when collecting the food, I asked how long the food would take, as I had already returned to the counter twice after she rang the bell, signaling the food was ready. The staff exclaimed that if I couldn't wait for the food, I shouldn't order this set, as it would take a while. All I wanted to know was how long to wait before returning, and I was not in a rush.
The ban mian stall used to be good.
These days, the auntie always rushes through when cooking. She cooks it for less than 20 seconds. The noodles and meat are always uncooked.
But if you take away, it will be cooked when you reach home.
Here's a lightly edited version:
"I was there on 21/10/2023 around 11 am. A very rude chicken rice shop staff member didn't know how to respond to orders. He also made sarcastic remarks when I asked him to separate my macaroni from my soup."

I think they changed their tartare sauce. It doesn't taste like McDonald's tartare sauce anymore; it's more like mayonnaise. It's not as nice—missing the pickle taste. But the fried fish or grilled chicken is generally still good, though the fries were soggy.

So far, I’ve tried their yong tau foo, which is pretty good as they can re-fry your items. I've also tried their Western dishes. Their fish and tartare sauce taste like McDonald's Filet-O-Fish.
