I have mixed reviews for this place, mainly because they don't value time. I always book an appointment beforehand, but every time I go, I have to wait for 20-25 minutes. The whole point of booking in advance is ruined if one has to wait like a walk-in. The service, I would say, is good, so you can definitely try, but keep extra time on hand.

Really impressed with their service. First time I've had a manicurist proactively trim those hairs on the feet. I took up a package when they just opened, and I'm left with 1-2 sessions of treatment, but they are not pushy about signing up for more packages.

I had a gel soak-off, and wanted a new overlay (transparent). They couldn't even remove the previous colour completely, and it was EXTREMELY badly done, to the point: 1) A thick layer with a gap at the cuticle from nail growth. 2) They did not paint until the cuticle (I don't know why). 3) There was very visible nail growth from the previous manicure. 4) I had to tell the staff myself that it wasn't even dry…. How are the professionals not able to tell if it's dry or not themselves?? 5) Overall, I would not recommend them at all unless you are coming in with regular nail polish or no nail polish at all.

My first visit was excellent; they treated me so well. However, my second visit was a great disappointment. During my first visit, they treated me so well that I decided to purchase a package. The second time, I called and made an appointment. I couldn't make it, so I called to inform them. Later that same day, I made another appointment. The lady called me to check if I was coming, and I told her I was already in the cab. When I arrived, the lady asked me to come back at 6:00 PM because they were already serving walk-in customers. Although I had informed them I was on my way for my professional appointment, I was told to wait. I demanded to speak to the boss. The lady spoke to him and then told me he would be there in 15 minutes. After waiting, I again demanded to speak to her boss. The boss then said he would not be able to come. He was rude and also refused to refund my package amount.

I had my gel pedi here, then came back for a classic pedicure. They still wanted to charge me for the soak-off. The nail tech recognized my set but insisted that, even with a classic pedi procedure, they had to charge me an additional $10, when the soak-off should be part of a classic treatment. Bye, never.

Visited this store thinking it was under the Pixie chain (it’s not), but decided to do an express gel manicure anyway. Was very well taken care of by Felicia, who was sweet and very detailed. You can tell she enjoys her job and is passionate about making the nail designs as pretty as they can be.

D'Pixies Nails is located at Canberra Plaza #02-08. Tel: 69708477. This outlet has 5 mani-pedi chairs, with a room for eyebrow embroidery and eyelash extensions. Excellent, quality service provided by experienced manicurists. The price is reasonable. Thumbs up!

WARNING: DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS SOAKED OFF HERE. I know this nail salon offers nail soak-off service at a cheaper price compared to others, but please, please avoid this place…might as well go to home-based nail salons. Unless you want your nails to get damaged really badly because of how thin the person has made your nails, and suffer pain with every touch for the following weeks…Sure, go ahead. Strongly not recommended. I would give negative stars if only I could.
