This is my favorite coffee hangout, with free Wi-Fi and Arabica espresso, Americano, latte, macchiato, and cappuccino. They also have sandwiches, pastries, cakes, bakery items, beverages, and Western delights. It's a spacious, air-conditioned lounge with a relaxing atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner, and supper, with views of Canberra's greenery away from the busy cityscapes. The food is freshly prepared with healthy ingredients, and the baking is skillful and done with tender loving care. The service is warm. Conveniently located in the heartland of Canberra Plaza, it's within walking distance of a covered pathway to Canberra MRT, with plenty of dining, shopping, supermarkets, groceries, sundries, and electronic and telecommunication services and amenities nearby. It's also one MRT station from Northpoint City, which is within walking distance of a covered pathway to Yishun MRT, the bus interchange, Yishun Town Gardens, and Yishun Town Square, with plenty of dining, shopping, banking, supermarkets, a library, cinemas, entertainment, groceries, sundries, postage services, a community center, and other amenities nearby. It has a friendly, cozy, comfy, and welcoming ambiance for romantic dates, intimate gatherings, groups, students, expats, locals, visitors, and families.
The staff here are extremely rude. They are always chitchatting amongst themselves, gossiping, and saying curse words loudly in front of the customers, blatantly ignoring their presence. I also had one experience where the staff talked to me very rudely, so I definitely do not recommend coming here. The customers here are also especially noisy and loud.
I bought a coffee in Canberra Plaza. The girl who served me made my day; I think her name is Adzil (2nd Feb, 9:50), if I am not wrong. What a pleasant experience, amazing service! I've bought the same coffee again and love it. Thanks, girl!
I had breakfast 3-4 times a week at this Starbucks for nearly 4 years since it opened. There were many friendly baristas who made Starbucks feel like a "third place," from the store manager who has relocated to HQ, to ex- and current baristas Terence, Ais, Lisa, and Daniel. All of them made my mornings with delicious drinks, food, and warm smiles. I will miss you all ❤️
I ordered a tiramisu the other day, and it wasn’t great, but it wasn't bad either. For the price, I expected something better. The cake's texture was on the dry side, and the cream wasn't the best. 2 out of 5...
I really enjoy Starbucks muffins. They look incredibly sweet and commercialized, but they actually taste really good. They're a generous size and not overly sweet or oily. They're also good for a late-night snack when everything else is closed. I've tried both the blueberry and banana walnut muffins. The blueberry is a little sweet, but still manageable. I love the banana walnut one, which usually sells out. The young lady serving me on a Saturday late evening was so friendly and chirpy. It was almost 10 PM, but she remained unfazed by the small crowd that gathered. Very smiley and courteous :) 👍🏻
This Canberra branch is one of the friendliest I've been to. The two ladies working there are really helpful and friendly, always with a smile; they truly cheered up my morning. I was there for breakfast on November 9th, 2023. Keep it up!
The portion at the ban mian stall was dismal. We were charged for extra meat but received an appalling portion, less than what you'd typically get at other ban mian stalls.
