Enrolled my daughter in taekwondo classes at Kickmatics since November 2023. Coach Zong Lin and Coach Ashley are very warm and welcoming. My daughter looks forward to her TKD class every week. Recently, she went for her grading, and it was a good experience. Coach Zong Lin really prepared the students well for the grading. Highly recommended!
"In my boy’s words, "I like Taekwondo; I learn to defend myself. Coach Zong Lin is patient and very nice to us." These sentiments speak volumes about the positive impact and the dedication of the coaches.
Coach Zong Lin creates a welcoming and supportive environment for the students. I particularly appreciate Coach Zong Lin's care in ensuring the safety and well-being of the students; after every session, he oversees the students at the front door to ensure they are picked up by the correct guardian.
Coach Ashley has been supportive on administrative matters; she is friendly, helpful, and responsive to any concerns.
I highly recommend Kickmatics Taekwondo to parents looking to cultivate confidence and essential defense skills through Taekwondo for their child."
"This isn't the usual selection of items you find elsewhere. It's the only Nam Kee Pau I know of that has ccf, shui kueh, and the like. However, they were all disappointing. While I understand the desire for innovation and expanding their menu, they seemed to have forgotten to focus on quality. I wouldn't recommend trying their other, non-dim sum items."
"During non-peak hours, with literally only me as a customer, they still gave me the wrong order? I asked for mee hoon kueh, and I don't like ban mian. It was too far (and hot) for me to walk back and exchange it. The noodles were also soggy, even though they were served separately. The standard has dropped."
I usually don’t leave reviews, but I am appalled that they cheated my husband out of $2.30 by selling him the wrong product. My husband is a vegetarian, and he asked for red bean pau. He asked 2-3 times, but the aunty working on 10/5/24 at 7 pm said it was red bean pau and sold it to him. He came home to realize it wasn't red bean pau. I don’t understand why they would do this. It’s very far for us to go back and ask them about it as well. Please. No wonder you have low reviews.
"I had their Mee Hoon Kueh 面粉粿 today. I was quite disappointed with the portion size and the doneness of the noodles. They were undercooked inside and didn't taste "al dente," if that was the intention.
Nonetheless, I'm still happy we have a go-to place for buns, dim sum, and Hong Kong delicacies here in Canberra Plaza. The food quality has plenty of room for improvement."
The staff was rude, and the restaurant seemed understaffed. The female staff was constantly serving customers who wanted to purchase the buns (Bao). She took two orders in front of me (Ban Mian) and then my order, but continued to shout, "Who else needs Bao?" Then, halfway through cooking the noodles, she went to serve the customers buying the Baos. My noodles ended up extremely soggy and gross. There was barely any meat in my noodles. What an expensive, awful experience.
Note this was a takeaway order, and I live less than a 10-minute drive from home. I will not buy from this outlet again.
The Plaza Singapura outlet is still the best.
Poor attitude.
I ordered via GrabFood for takeout.
They either gave me noodles without the extra noodles I paid for.
The server was unhappy when I double-checked the order. The customer before me also double-checked, and the server was unhappy with her too. You can review the CCTV footage to see her reaction when the other lady and I double-checked our orders, due to previous poor experiences.
I didn't feel like ordering more because of the server's attitude.
I really won't be a customer again.
