Fish Soup and Ban Mian Stall I saw the lady picking something from the ground and realized it was uncooked noodles. She placed it back into the tray and saw that I was looking at her. I confronted her and told her it was super unhygienic. She said there was a cloth under it, but in fact I saw the noodles directly on the ground. I think the boss should really look into this, as this is a serious matter. She should have disposed of the noodles that dropped on the floor instead of keeping them.

I've visited the Cantine outlet several times. The Muslim food at Siti Fatimah is great. However, I had a bad experience: The coffee seller lady is very rude. The Cantine needs to train and remind her of courtesy and customer service. Be nice; don't bark and chew up the customer.

Here are a few options, keeping the original's informal tone where appropriate: **Option 1 (Slightly more formal):** "They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot. It was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had." **Option 2 (Closer to original flow):** "They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot, and it was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had." I'll go with **Option 2** as it maintains the single-sentence flow of the original more closely while fixing the issues. **Edited review:** "They offer the cheapest coffee set, but the toast was so hard because they had pre-prepared a lot, and it was really bad — like the worst toast I had ever had."

The stalls are relatively overpriced (e.g., $5.30 for takeaway chicken noodles with egg, or $5.60 for nasi lemak). The ban mian store is the only value-for-money store. But the aunty doesn't know much English, so order what's on the menu and don't ask questions (e.g., when asked if fish soup comes with rice, she replied in Chinese).

Visited here on 14/07/2023 (Fri) at 9:15 AM. The drink stall Chinese lady taking orders was really rude and bad-tempered. She has hearing problems and always takes the wrong order, but still had the right to shout back and show temper to customers even when she heard incorrectly. Management, please look into this and give this lady the proper training. We are her customers, not her enemy.

A good place to eat with plenty of halal options. However, the one stall that is a turn-off is Fu Men Japanese and Donburi Restaurant. They are basically selling the same type of Japanese food that can be found at other food courts but with an outrageous price tag. I wonder how long it will hold out.

My husband ordered fried fish soup for me here. The auntie was so rude. I feel like people who come here to work, especially in F&B, should really learn the basics of English. Don't have to be smooth in the language. Then she got angry at my husband because he couldn't understand Chinese (my husband is Malay 😭). We don't mind that, actually. But when we ordered, we asked to separate the fish because it's fried and it will be soggy by the time he reaches home. But Auntie didn't. So my husband told her he had requested to separate the fish. But Auntie scolded him for requesting so... All I can say is: Auntie, I'm sorry my husband cannot speak Chinese, but don't scold him, la. We also never scolded you for not understanding English! Fried Fish Stall, I hope you have at least one English-speaking person to help her out... We requested for milk to be added to the soup, but she didn't add it either. My husband was already too lazy to ask, fearing Auntie would scold him again.

The banmian stall is delicious as always, but the auntie couldn't speak English. She kept asking me something in Mandarin many times. I was very confused. Thankfully, a kind Chinese lady (a customer) beside me translated it for me. I'm sorry, but if you work in Singapore, you need to at least know how to speak basic English. It's so unfair to non-Mandarin speakers in Singapore. You don't have to be fluent, but at least learn the basics 😭😭 Wah, this one, 'milk,' also don't know how to translate to English 😬

Vegan with Egg? I normally hang out at the Starbucks at Canberra Plaza. I love the place and the service. The staff are extremely professional. Last week, I was early and wanted to have a bite. I told them I was a vegetarian, and they recommended the vegan wrap. After taking the first bite, there was a huge strip of eggs. I was surprised Starbucks didn't know the difference between vegan and ovo-vegetarian. Nevertheless, this did not alter my perception of the place, and I will continue to visit.
