The portion at the ban mian stall was dismal. They charged us for extra meat but gave us an appalling portion, less than what you'd typically get at other ban mian stalls.

I ordered fish fillet with rice at the western store, but instead of serving me a piece of fillet like in the picture, they served me only four bites of fish. This is very misleading and honestly feels like a scam. I paid $9.90 for it too. I will never eat at this western food stall again!

My husband ordered fried fish soup for me here, and the auntie was so rude. I feel like people who work here, especially in the food and beverage industry, should really learn the basics of English. They don't have to be fluent. Then she got angry at my husband because he couldn't understand Chinese (my husband is Malay 😭). We actually don't mind that. But when we ordered, we asked to have the fish separated because it's fried and would get soggy by the time he got home. But the auntie didn't. So my husband told her that he had asked for the fish to be separated. But the auntie scolded him for requesting it... All I can say is, "Auntie, I'm sorry my husband can't speak Chinese, but don't scold him," we also didn't scold you for not understanding English 😭. For the fried fish stall, I hope you have at least one English-speaking person to help her out... We requested milk to be added to the soup, but she didn't add it either. My husband was too lazy to ask again because he was afraid the auntie would scold him again.

"A nice halal food court in the HDB Canberra estate. The stalls offer budget-friendly meals in a clean, air-conditioned environment."

Good food, good service, and excellent cleanliness. It's so nice that I ate the utensils too. (After picture posted)

A food court nestled right in the middle of Heartland Mall Canberra Plaza, it's a haunt for reasonably priced, okay food when you don’t feel like paying exorbitant prices. I tried the Malay Chicken rice store (HALAL). It was lovely, and the portion was quite big for my liking (and that’s good). Clearly, inflation has left this place untouched, and I trust I’ll be back. The coffee stall runs a popular set of coffee, eggs, and toast, providing ample competition to the Ya Kun storefronts down the way. Definitely try this place if you’re around here.

The wait wasn't long, the air conditioning was very cool, but I still enjoyed the dessert (durian ice-kacang) here.
