I always get my sushi takeouts from here, about 2-3 times a week. The sushi here tastes and is prepared better compared to the Northpoint branch; the rice there often feels mushy and the sushi isn't placed nicely.
Also, the employees here are always pleasant and friendly, unlike the five times I've been to the Northpoint branch, where staff were always unhappy and gave me an attitude.
Just one thing to improve is the lack of sushi variety after 7 PM. Most of the time, I can't get my favorite salmon sushi. Other than that, I love having my dinner takeouts here!
Went twice, different doctors, not going back.
It's okay that the first diagnosis was not accurate and I had worsening symptoms despite taking all prescriptions. However, I encountered a doctor who was impatient and unwilling to listen to my symptoms during the follow-up visit. He assumed he got it all with the two questions he asked, and that's all he had to know. He stopped me from talking while I tried to highlight what he was overlooking. I left without taking any prescription he gave (for antibiotics). The diagnosis was clearly not accurate, and I won't take antibiotics prescribed by a doctor who doesn't listen to patients empathetically.
Dr Ivan was professional and answered my questions patiently. He was understanding of my severe sore throat issue and gave advice as well. The price was very reasonable, too. I don't understand why another past reviewer said that this clinic is "out to chop you."
Doctor Tan was detailed in his explanation; however, clinic staff were distracted by the payment. One of them claimed to have explained about the medication when clearly she only explained about the product I'm purchasing. When I asked about the medication, she insisted she had explained instead of just explaining. It was a turn-off, so I walked away, and she followed me, trying to explain herself. Nevertheless, they are not rude people. Thus, three stars.
On April 20, when I came into the clinic, I noticed that the staff kept shaking her head and sighing because I saw there was a lineup. I informed the staff that I came to see the doctor because I had a fever and wanted to take an MC. The staff then responded, βSo, you want to take an MC, lah?β I said, βLet the doctor check first.β After I went in, the doctor said, βDonβt ask my staff to give you an MC.β I was like, β?????β Was it my fault because I didnβt know how clinics work?
The nurse was rude when I requested a stool because the air conditioning in the clinic was too cold for a sick child. She rudely brought a stool, saying it was her personal stool and that it was okay for her to stand while working. I saw four stools stacked up next to her, yet she claimed they did not have extra stools. Clearly, she has no empathy for unwell patients. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Here's the lightly edited review:
"I was looking for a clinic near my place and happened to stumble upon Viva. Everyone from the clinical assistants to the doctors was very nice to me. I didn't get their names, but the clinical assistant with a hijab and red hair is super warm and friendly! Dr. Ivan Tan is super nice and took his time to go over my concerns without passing judgment or rushing me. A lot of doctors elsewhere don't do this, and they often don't think your concerns are valid, but the doctors here really go over your symptoms and take you seriously! The female doctor here is also good. Well done, Viva!"
