**Hostile staff**
I asked the counter staff if PayNow was accepted. She kept mumbling to herself, and I had to ask three times before she gave a haughty answer that PayNow was accepted.
Even her counterpart, the one prepping the food, had an argument with her because they asked a question, and the counter staff didn't answer clearly.
Although I ordered 2 breakfast sets, the counter staff ended up giving me only one pair of eggs. I didn't bother asking for the second pair because I felt it wasn't worth antagonising the staff.
Eventually, when collecting the food, I asked how long the food would take, as I had already returned to the counter twice after she rang the bell, signaling the food was ready. The staff exclaimed that if I couldn't wait for the food, I shouldn't order this set, as it would take a while. All I wanted to know was how long to wait before returning, and I was not in a rush.
Visited here on 14/07/2023 (Fri) at 9:15 am. The drink stall Chinese lady taking orders was really rude and ill-tempered. She has hearing problems and always takes wrong orders, but still felt she had the right to shout back and show temper to customers, even when she heard incorrectly. Management staff, please look into this and give this lady proper training. We are her customers, not her enemy.
The drink stall aunties are super rude, impatient, and will raise their voices at customers. I believe Grove, which is just opposite here, has the same breakfast sets for the same price. The environment there is nicer, and the staff are friendly. I see so many bad reviews about them, but they're still working here. So, honestly, just avoid this stall. You can get breakfast sets at Grove or just buy your drinks at another shop after your meal.
The stalls are relatively overpriced (e.g., $5.30 for chicken noodles with egg takeaway, or $5.60 for nasi lemak).
The ban mian store is the only value-for-money store. But the aunty doesn't know much English, so order what's on the menu and don't ask questions (e.g., I asked if fish soup comes with rice, and she replied in Chinese).
Worst place to eat. Rude Chinese servers at the ban mian mee shop. They charged me cash and lied, claiming my card had insufficient funds. Such cheaters and liars should not be working here in Singapore. Poor service and attitude.
Bloody rude lady who served coffee! Hey, nobody owes you a living, and please keep your bad attitude to yourself! If I could give a minus, I would. Cantine, look at the many other negative feedback about this lady in your reviews. She will bring your business to a lower level.
Banmian stall is delicious as always, but the auntie cannot speak English. She kept asking me something in Mandarin many times. I was very confused. Thankfully, a kind Chinese lady (a customer) beside me translated it for me. I'm sorry, but if you work in Singapore, you need to at least know how to speak basic English. It's so unfair to non-Mandarin speakers in Singapore. You don't have to be fluent, but at least learn the basics 😭😭. Wah, even "milk" she didn't know how to translate to English 😬
