The worst teh peng I have ever drunk. It's literally diluted; there's no tea smell. The staff were chatting with someone who wasn't a customer about jewelry, and they let those in the queue wait.
The tables were also dirty. Three people were working, or should I say, just chatting away.
"I'm always a fan of Ya Kun, but this outlet disappoints me so much. The cashier, a young Malaysian lady with brown hair, was incredibly rude. I was standing in front of her, and she was just using her phone despite seeing me. After I told her my order, she didn't acknowledge it and proceeded to payment. She didn't ask about the mode of payment and assumed it was paywave? No thank you, no words from her. Did Ya Kun hire someone who is mute?"
"How is it acceptable for your female cashier, whose primary responsibility is to take customer orders, to wear an earpiece while working?
(I ordered “Set F,” but she gave me “Set A.”)"
Well, I've been to this outlet many times because I live nearby. There's an auntie who makes coffee there, and from day one, she's been staring at me like she's not happy. What's worse, she makes the worst coffee. Ya Kun coffee is expensive, but at least it should have a standard. The moment I see the auntie making coffee, I will never go buy it again!
The staff didn’t ask how many were in my party and split my table. They weren't polite or respectful, and there were plenty of empty tables!
The coffee was diluted, and the sandwich was terrible; the toast was like a biscuit.
I remember there used to be prawn noodles on the Ya Kun menu, but not anymore.
Absolutely disappointing. Despite the rising price, we still enjoy our toast and coffee from time to time. We went today and it was already closed at 9:18 PM, while Google Maps indicated a 9:30 PM closing time. Even the shutters were already down.
"Premium SG used to be my go-to drop-off point for my Shopee/Ninja orders when the larger Chinese man was working there. After they switched to the Indian lady, their service level dropped. She lacked professionalism and asked me to scan my own parcels (I have at least 50 parcels per drop-off). Even though they get paid per order scanned, if I asked her to scan my parcel, she would do so unwillingly, throwing the parcels and overall showing poor customer service.
Nowadays, I drop off my parcels at the shop next door, SIMBA; they are more friendly and will scan your parcels for you happily."
Opening hours: Saturday 10:15 am. Still not open. Sometimes they open way after the stated hours. Don't bother collecting parcels from this unreliable shop.
"Lun, don't you know it opens at 10:15 am on weekends?"
Excellent service by their staff! Siva is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Quite a few times when I went into their shop, I could hear Siva guiding the elderly about the phone plans they offer. If anyone wants to get phone accessories or a SIM, this is the right place to go!
We've been dropping parcels as a seller at this place for many years, since it first opened. As a seller, time is money, and accountability is very important. We've worked well with the staff, including Siva, despite her having worked here for only about a year. She is efficient and knowledgeable when approached for advice. We look forward to working with her and this place for years to come!
