Here's the edited review: It’s a hidden gem that I only just discovered, even though it has been open for almost two years (since the COVID-19 pandemic). It's actually a sister restaurant to its main restaurant in Bedok. It’s family-friendly, mostly featuring round table settings. It's easily good for 6-12 pax. This place can get very crowded, so arrive early to avoid disappointment. It’s very spacious, has a nice ambiance, and is comfortable for dining. It’s a Teochew restaurant, so be sure to try their signature dishes. Chilled Teochew Pork Trotter Jelly, Homemade Teochew Prawn Ball, and Teochew Kway Teow are some of the must-try items. There is currently a promotion for an extra value set available for weekday dinners only, which truly offers great value for money. You can choose from fish/prawn, chicken/duck/meat, and veg/tofu/omelette, along with rice, soup, and tea/water. All the dishes tasted great, and the portions were decent for four adults. Especially the coffee pork ribs; they were tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Kway Teow also had excellent 'wok hey'. The only disappointment we experienced was not receiving our oyster omelette (蠔煎) order during our 45-minute dining time (6:45 pm - 7:30 pm). We're not sure if they missed our order, but they claimed it was still in the order queue even after we finished our entire extra value set. We simply had to give up, disappointed. You can't expect a customer to wait for an oyster omelette for another 30 minutes when they've already finished their dinner. Perhaps they simply couldn't cope with the orders and didn't mind losing one or two customers, as they would still sell the dish to a later customer (likely with a shorter wait time). That resulted in a 2-star rating for service. Hopefully, I can try it on my next visit (with a more reasonable waiting time).

The dishes were good. The dining area was spacious. Service was really bad, from the manager to the waitress. Well, if the manager is rude, what can we expect from the waitress?

Great atmosphere. The restaurant is well-designed and looks great, making the dining much more comfortable. Food and service are great too. I found the chairs a bit hard to sit on; they made my back feel a bit uncomfortable after a while, but overall everything is great.

Amazing dim sum place that's a hidden gem in the North. Specialising in Teochew dishes, they also serve a fabulous dim sum brunch on weekends! The dim sum menu is a bit small, but all the classics are available and good. The har gow, siew mai, and XO fried carrot cake are especially tasty. For an additional treat, call in advance to pre-order their oyster omelette (which is usually only available on weekdays) to complete the meal. Attentive and efficient service staff rounds off a delightful dining experience each time we visit. Highly recommended!

Came here for a birthday lunch on a Saturday at 1 PM. It was not too crowded, and the seating was quite comfortable. You must try their Cai Poh Kway Tiao, their very crispy Ko Lou Yok, their peanuts, and the Braised Teochew Vegetable (which is mustard vegetable). Desserts were also great. The Orh Nee tasted very authentic. Overall, the food quality and taste were good. Only the dim sum buns were just so-so. I will be back to try other dishes! Service was quite good and friendly.

We have frequented this restaurant for years. Our first two visits were pleasant, as we enjoyed the dishes ordered. Recently, we went for a family dinner and ordered braised duck, which tasted okay but wasn't fantastic. We also had the sweet and sour pork with a crispy outer layer; it was quite well-balanced in sweetness and sourness. We also ordered a leafy green dish and prawns. The salted egg prawn was a letdown. Somehow, I felt they may have used salted yolk powder (judging by the unnatural color and taste) instead of 'fresh' salted egg yolk, as I couldn't trace any bits of yolk. It was below my expectation, since there are much better salted egg prawn dishes served at zi char stalls out there. Today, I ordered some noodles and fried rice for takeaway. The best among these dishes was the stir-fried bee hoon. I could tell that the bee hoon had absorbed the broth well. The fried rice was not up to standard; it was bland, lacked 'wok hey,' and was too dry for my liking. It was very different from the fried rice that I tried before at the same outlet. The stir-fried hor fun was the worst among all; it had a doughy smell, and the noodles weren't coated with fragrant broth. For a restaurant setting, I would definitely expect a higher standard of food. I really doubt if I will ever visit again.

We went for lunch and were assigned a table right by the door near a walkway. We requested a change since there were many empty tables around, but the server simply said, “Cannot change.” This was our first time there, and it will definitely be the last. Food was average, and the service was poor.

We got the hei zou, French beans, some crispy chicken, soon hock stir fry, and sweet & sour monkey head. Everything was good, and the most surprising dish was the monkey head. Even though it was vegetarian, it tasted like real meat and was neither too dry nor artificial. For dessert, we got the orh nee, which was really good, though the portion was a little small. Service could be better, as there were instances where our order was wrong. It's better to call and reserve in advance.

Had an assortment of dim sum for lunch. Overall, pretty average. I reckon the cooked food might be better. It was quite crowded during lunch hour. The charsiew pau was probably the best of them all.

The total price for this meal is about $122. Pork gu lu yong. Damn nice. It was crispy on the outside and flavourful. The veggies needed to cook more because they tasted bitter. But the sauce was on point.
