I've been a member of this gym since 2021, and the quality has dropped tremendously. Quality and experience do not warrant me paying almost $100/month. I do not see myself renewing.
Free weights are left lying around, and even when put back on the rack, they are not in proper order. Random padding from equipment goes missing, and the remaining 'skeleton' is left in the workout area without proper signage. Rubber knobs for cable machines have been missing since a year ago, and we are all touching the bare steel when adjusting the cables. Last year, the clock was dead and left unchanged for six months.
Staff doesn’t bother to walk the gym floor or greet their members. Lack of staff presence on the gym floor means they don't know how messy the gym is throughout the day. The towels used for wiping equipment have been the same for many months, and I'm not even sure if they're washed. There are no efforts to forge relationships with members, unlike in the past.
It has come to the point where regular gym-goers have to remind others to put their weights back.
I had surgery last year and was not allowed to pause my membership, even with a doctor's note. I had to write a complaint email to HQ to appeal my case.
Honestly, it’s sad to see what the gym has become.
Staff are friendly and helpful. It would be nice if the gym could emphasize gym etiquette, e.g., members refraining from interrupting others to give unsolicited training advice or make small talk. It can affect one's concentration and safety. Besides, most people see gym time as 'me time' and prefer not to be disturbed, except to share equipment or get help.
Here are a few options, keeping the changes minimal:
**Option 1 (Minimal change, adds a period and "a"):**
> Great gym with many machines and a reasonable crowd, so there is not much need to queue or share. Many weight options and cardio equipment as well.
**Option 2 (Slightly smoother, uses "isn't" and "There are also"):**
> Great gym with many machines and a reasonable crowd, so there isn't much need to queue or share. There are also many weight options and cardio equipment.
**Option 3 (Combines the last thought more directly):**
> Great gym with many machines and a reasonable crowd, so there isn't much need to queue or share, and it has many weight options and cardio equipment.
**Recommendation:** Option 2 strikes the best balance of minimal change and improved flow/readability.
**Edited review (using Option 2):**
Great gym with many machines and a reasonable crowd, so there isn't much need to queue or share. There are also many weight options and cardio equipment.
Hey Guys,
This is one gym I've experienced, surrounded by good staff and facilities. My gym is in Canberra, and it's an excellent place with friendly gym staff.
I've been training here for a year. The staff are friendly, and machines are in good condition. Broken equipment is fixed very quickly, and they upgrade their equipment frequently. I enjoy gymming here.
The gym is large and well maintained. JK is an amazing personal trainer—knowledgeable, motivating, and truly invested in helping you reach your goals. Every session is effective and very challenging, but still takes into account your limitations.
I've been training with Personal Trainer De Jun (DJ), and have seen significant progress in every session. DJ’s motivation is unmatched—every session feels like a push to do more and be better. What really stands out, though, is how much focus he places on form. He ensures every move is done correctly, which has helped me avoid injury, manage my body pain issues, and truly maximize my results. If you’re looking for someone who can help you stay motivated while focusing on the fundamentals, Personal Trainer DJ is the trainer for you!
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the current state of 24 Fitness Gym. As a paying member, I have noticed a significant decline in maintenance, service quality, and overall gym management.
1. **Lack of Weight Management** – Weights are frequently left scattered around the gym, and despite a policy that members should return them, this is neither enforced nor addressed by staff. This creates a disorganized and unsafe workout environment.
2. **Unmaintained Water Dispenser** – The water dispenser does not properly drain dirty water, raising hygiene concerns for members who rely on it.
3. **Lack of Retention Efforts for Existing Members** – Despite renewing a one-year membership, there are no incentives or appreciation for long-term members. It is disappointing to see that even a simple welcome gift, such as a towel, is only given to new members, while existing members receive nothing.
4. **Poor Cleanliness and Maintenance** – Trash bins are often full and left unattended. Additionally, while gym equipment is still in decent condition, it is noticeably less frequently maintained than when the previous manager was in charge.
I strongly urge management to address these issues, as they directly impact the quality of the gym experience. I hope to see improvements in maintenance, policy enforcement, and overall member satisfaction. Thanks.
Truly enjoyed training with my PT (Jun Keat). Going to the gym can be intimidating for a beginner like me, but JK is a very patient and experienced trainer. He was always attentive in making sure that my posture was correct. He also tailored my workout routine according to my strengths and weaknesses. I have learnt so much from him. Thank you for being so encouraging and pushing my limits to become stronger!
