A food court nestled right in the middle of Heartland Mall Canberra Plaza, it's a haunt for reasonably priced, okay food when you don't feel like paying exorbitant prices.
I tried the Malay Chicken rice store (HALAL). It was lovely, and the portion was quite big for my liking (and that’s good). Inflation has clearly left this place untouched, and trust me, I'll be back.
The coffee stall runs a popular set of coffee, eggs, and toast, providing ample competition to the Yakun 2 storefronts down the way. Definitely try this place if you're around here.
I've only had ytf here because it's a typical ytf stall in food courts. The food is edible, and service is quick. Paying with the NTUC app gets you a 10% discount, so it's quite affordable.
The one thing I can't stand is that patrons already do their part by returning their trays, but the cleaner, an auntie with a hairband and apron, sits there like a "Dua pek gong," using her phone, drinking coffee, and people-watching. She doesn't even bother to wipe the tables that are wet or dirty with food. The other cleaner was okay and quite proactive, but was clearing the self-return rack. Also, she can take the trays from the stall to re-wipe them on the table (as seen in the 3rd picture), but cannot wipe the crumbs and clean that particular table. Then she moved to another cleaner's table to wipe the trays. I really don't understand!
Also, if you're having breakfast before 9 am, be prepared to feel very warm. The plaza management only turns on the air conditioning from 9 am onwards.
My husband ordered fried fish soup for me here, and the aunty was so rude. I feel like people who work here, especially in food and beverage, should really learn the basics of English. They don't have to be fluent. Then she got angry at my husband because he couldn't understand Chinese (my husband is Malay 😭). We didn't mind that, actually. But when we ordered, we asked to have the fish separated because it's fried and it would be soggy by the time he reached home. But the aunty didn't do that. So my husband told her that he had requested the fish to be separated. But the aunty scolded him for asking... All I can say is, aunty, I'm sorry my husband can't speak Chinese, but please don't scold him. We also didn't scold you for not understanding English 😭. Fried fish stall, I hope you have at least one English-speaking person to help her out... We also requested milk to be added to the soup, but she didn't do that either. My husband was too lazy to ask again, afraid the aunty would scold him.
I ordered fish fillet with rice at the western store. Instead of serving me a piece of fillet like in the picture, they served me only four bites of fish. This is very misleading and, honestly, a scam. I paid $9.90 for it, too. I will never eat at this western food stall again!
I recently had a facial treatment at Celmonze The Signature branch at Canberra and was attended to by a kind beautician, Sim Yee. From start to finish, I felt incredibly comfortable and at ease. Sim Yee took the time to understand my skin concerns and provided valuable recommendations without any pressure. Her genuine care and expertise made me feel like I was in the hands of a trusted friend. I left feeling refreshed and will definitely consider a return visit. Highly recommended!
I had a pleasant facial treatment experience at Celmonze @ Canberra Mall. Though it was my first time there, I felt comfortable and relaxed. Janice, the skin consultant, was friendly and very experienced. I enjoyed the facial treatment. It was good 👍. Thanks, Janice 🌷…
"Went for a Bojin eye treatment. I really like the care provided by Janice. It really helps make my eyes feel more refreshed. She also provides good advice for my face and skin, and I would recommend coming here. It's a very small shop, and I really like the peace and atmosphere!"
The staff is very helpful and will explain the product's use professionally and patiently. My skin is prone to dry acne, so I personally recommend signing up for a package. After one treatment, my acne has improved a lot.
