I went in and started explaining to the doctor what was wrong, as it was my second visit. My previous visit was another GP. He cut me short and asked, 'What's wrong?' I said, 'I'm having a sore throat.' He told me to open my mouth and said, 'It's red. Take medicine and MC.' It was a short consultation. He did not bother to listen to me when I was trying to explain to him that I was having a sore throat for a week now. I will never visit Dr. Andrew or this clinic again.
Here's an edited version:
"Treatment, consultation, and care seem intended to manipulate your pocket. Medical advice is just for show. There are many other doctors in the area. I recommend them only for desperate visits. Otherwise, Heartland doctors are not recommended at all."
I went for an ART swab. The doctor did not wear any PPE other than gloves and a face mask. After the swab, he placed my ART kit beside the previous patient's ART kit. There was hardly any communication between the doctor and me. While perhaps the doctor will mentally remember which kit belongs to which patient, and perhaps he feels that his PPE is sufficient, it does not appear to follow best practices.
The doctor was detailed and ensured that I understood my illness and how to better manage it. Clinic staff was also very polite. Would highly recommend this clinic!
Went for a Covid-19 swab test.
The receptionist was a bit strict, but understandably so due to current Covid-19 rules and cases.
The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly. All procedures were well explained before conducting them.
Recommended.
On December 6th, the line kept cutting off while I was calling. I then went down to make a PET-ART appointment and was asked to WhatsApp. (Couldn't even make an appointment on the spot)... Today, December 9th, there's totally no news on my WhatsApp request. So please don't present a standard SOP stating "as soon as possible" if you really can't cope with it, and don't base it on your mood to serve the poor patient! Regards!
This clinic is definitely one of the best I've experienced. The ladies at the reception were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Dr Chong was very friendly and professional. Definitely the best around Canberra!!!
Here's the edited review:
"This was my first time at the clinic (decided to give it a try) as there was a long queue at the usual clinic I visit. The receptionist was not welcoming and did not even give eye contact when asking for NRIC. Already feeling very unwell, and to be met with this kind of lacklustre service attitude. No empathy at all. I decided to just leave the clinic without even registering and just queue for the usual clinic. I suggest visiting VivaMedical at Level 2. Now I understand why one clinic is empty and why the other has a long queue."
Usually quiet and has no waiting time. But the doctor was incompetent. Didn't seem interested in knowing more about the symptoms and was impatient. Prescribed medication that does not work.
