I love the ONDEH ONDEH cake slice. The slight bitterness of the brown center complements the saltiness of the coconut flakes and the sweetness of the green pandan rim seamlessly. Will be back for more.
This relatively new outlet has a great selection of baked goods and other products that you might not find in their other locations. Their items with cream cheese are my favorite. Recently, however, I've been seeing some flies hovering around and landing on the food that isn't in plastic packaging. I hope the management will look into this and get rid of the flies.
The cashier should be more attentive. The sign indicating where to queue should be clearer to customers. I still had to remind her that the other customer cut the queue!
"If you don’t buy a high-end birthday cake, Swee Heng will only give you one free candle and charge you 30 cents per additional candle. I bought this cake with other cheesecakes (the overall price wasn't cheap) and didn't receive any free additional candles. I will think twice about visiting Swee Heng again."
Bought 2 chocolate donuts at 11 am. Tried to eat them at 4 pm, but they already tasted rancid. Gross. They had a stale oil taste. It was probably from the day before. No quality control.
Poor management and poor service. This outlet hasn't been selling margarine for the past month, allegedly because it's a small outlet. However, white bread and kaya are always available.
I suspect margarine is a controlled item.
The staff didn’t ask how many were in my party and split my table. They weren't polite or respectful, and there were plenty of empty tables!
The coffee was diluted, and the sandwich was terrible; the toast was like a biscuit 🍪.
I remember the prawn noodles were on the Yakun menu last time, but they're not there anymore.
"I'm usually a fan of Ya Kun, but this outlet disappoints me so much. The cashier, a young Malaysian lady with brown hair, was incredibly rude. I was standing in front of her, and she was just using her phone despite seeing me. After I told her my order, she didn't acknowledge it and proceeded to payment. She didn't ask about the payment method either and seemed to assume it was paywave. There was no "thank you," or any other words from her. Did Ya Kun hire someone who's mute?"
How is it acceptable for your female cashier, whose primary responsibility is to take customer orders, to wear an earpiece while working?
(I ordered “Set F”, but she gave me “Set A”.)
