Today's visit to the doctor turned out to be incredibly expensive. I have been there many times, but I was very disappointed today. Upon receiving the bill for two medications and the consultation fees, I realized one of the medicines was unnecessary and requested its removal. However, I was surprised to learn from the nurse that even after removing the medicine, the total bill remained the same due to the inclusion of GST and a minimum charge requirement. I find this situation utterly ridiculous, especially since I received medication I didn't require. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I won't be returning to this facility.

I went to see a doctor for a sore throat. I walked in around 8 PM and asked if they were open. They said yes, but my mask was unusable. The receptionist/nurses on the night shift were so nice, helpful, and polite. When I asked if they could provide me with one, they went the extra mile and gave me a free mask before I entered the clinic! I am so happy and grateful for such a kind gesture. They did not stop me from walking in to see the doctor. I am really very thankful to the night shift nurses working on August 2nd, 2023, at 8 PM. I didn't manage to get both ladies' names, but thank you so much for letting me in and going the extra mile by providing me a free mask before I entered the clinic to see the doctor. Next time, I will bring an extra mask when visiting the doctor. Dr. Ivan is a very professional, neat, and clean doctor. He is very patient and listens well to patients. I felt well taken care of. Thank you, Viva nurses, receptionist, and doctor! I had a very good first-time walk-in experience with this clinic and will visit again if needed. =)

Visited the clinic for the first time and was greeted by the warm smiles of two lovely ladies at reception. After just a few minutes' wait, I was treated by Dr Ivan Tan for an infection in my thumb. Dr Tan was very patient in listening to my concerns, and his warm, friendly, and calm nature put my anxiety at ease very quickly. He is skilled and professional, and you can easily see that Dr Tan is a doctor for keeps!

The two ladies at reception are the most friendly and welcoming nurses I've ever experienced. Soft-spoken and calming, which is really important when you are sick and feel unwell. One lady went out of her way to let me know my meds were ready while I waited outside the clinic. During my visit, there was a Mandarin-speaking couple. They were also very nice to them, even though they couldn't communicate in Mandarin. Dr. Tan is efficient and clear about the cause of sickness and instructions.

This is one of the two best clinics I have been to (the other one is in Bedok). From the receptionists and clinic nurses to the two doctors (Dr. Ivan and Dr. Wong), the service is excellent. The staff are patient, friendly, and approachable. Service with a smile. They answer my questions patiently, and even when busy, they never brush me aside. They show a lot of initiative. Just today, they reminded me about using my civil service card to pay. I was grateful that the clinic was open today, even though it was a public holiday and the staff are Muslims. One of them even came from Pasir Ris. On top of that, poor thing, they had to work on Hari Raya Haji. Even the two doctors, Dr. Wong and Dr. Ivan, have been patient, putting me at ease, and never once made me feel stupid when I ask a thousand and one questions. They are professional, knowledgeable, and kind at the same time. I can say this because I have been to the clinic three times this year, including today. So, to those who feel otherwise, go to another clinic. The staff and doctors here work longer hours and even on public holidays. That in itself is already a bonus. It takes two hands to clap. I like to think that if you are nice, they will be too, if not nicer.

Went twice, different doctors, not going back. It's okay that the first diagnosis was not accurate and I had worsening symptoms despite taking all prescriptions. However, I encountered a doctor who was impatient and unwilling to listen to my symptoms on the follow-up visit. He assumed he understood everything after the two questions he asked, and that's all he felt he needed to know. He stopped me from talking while I tried to highlight what he was overlooking. I left without taking any prescription he gave (for antibiotics). The diagnosis was clearly not accurate, and I won't take antibiotics prescribed by a doctor who doesn't listen to patients empathetically.

The nurses/receptionists are always very nice and welcoming, but I always seem to see a different doctor each time. Personally, I prefer to see the same doctor, especially since I'm returning to the same clinic. Most of the doctors also don't make you feel at ease; there was even one who was fumbling so badly with the biohazard bag for my PCR test. However, my bad experience today sealed the deal, and I’m never going back there. The clinic was scheduled to be open until 2:30 PM, and I rushed down immediately after a work call, arriving at 12:30 PM. Only to be denied registration because there were other patients (I saw two) and the doctor wanted to go for lunch on time. I wouldn’t have minded so much if this were a standalone disappointing incident, but I think they’ve already accumulated enough reasons for me to safely say I’ll never return.

This is a new and clean clinic, also very convenient as it's located on Level 2 of Canberra Plaza. However, the consultation experience was poor. Firstly, I requested the doctor to speak Mandarin, but he gave me a disapproving look. Secondly, the doctor requested me to go for a swab test the next morning, which I rejected. However, he still submitted an appointment time for the swab test from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM without telling me. Thirdly, when I asked about the venue for the swab test, he refused to tell me, only saying it was 'not too far and a convenient place.' Although he knew the venue, as he was the one who submitted the time and venue for the swab test. After my consultation with the doctor, when I collected my medicine at the reception counter, I only then learned the time (morning) and venue. Overall, this is both my first and last time visiting this clinic. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Here's the edited review with grammar fixes and minor improvements, keeping the original meaning and sentiment intact: "I went to the Viva clinic in the evening (between 6-8pm) with my 2-year-old child. I was told to go to KKH for a chest X-ray immediately, as the doctor said he was not specialized in this area and a vibration in the chest could mean a serious condition. However, it turned out there was nothing wrong with his chest after the immediate visit to KKH on the same evening. It was diagnosed as just a common flu with phlegm. However, we were grateful for the doctor's professional urgency regarding young toddlers' conditions and for not hastily prescribing medications. But because of the unnecessary visit to KKH, which usually involves a 3 to 6-hour wait, it would have been wiser of us to have visited a pediatrician (PD) or more experienced GPs. Therefore, I suggest visiting this Viva clinic only with older children and adults. Not suitable for very young toddlers."

Very bad experience. The telephone line was impossible to reach. Two nurses were sitting at the desk, and when I called, the phone just rang; they never picked up. When I went in and asked why they never picked up, they said they were busy swapping patients and cleaning. This was unacceptable. Like other reviews, the doctor kept changing, and one visit was charged at a high rate by an unknown doctor (not the flu subsidized rate by the government) without examining the patient. The day before, we had just gone for the same flu reason! The reason given for the high charge was also due to sensitivity on the nose, so it did not fall under flu/cough. Avoid at all costs.
